Rigging Lanterns
Today's session is about rigging safely. Please remember that we were working at floor height and all the skills we practiced today will eventually take place at height and sometimes in the dark. It is therefore imperative that you feel comfortable rigging the lanterns before we move on to working in the grid. Please arrange to practice if you are unsure.
We also discussed some useful equipment that will help you as you progress through this unit. Please as a minimum make sure you have a pair of gardening gloves and come to Tech theatre sessions in clothes you are prepared to get dirty. Please also wear sturdy flat shoes.
EQUIPMENT
Gloves (cloth gardening gloves)
Adjustable spanner
Electrical tape (black- not gaffer)
Notepad
Scale ruler
Assorted pens
Torch (mini maglite type)
Black clothes (jeans and a t shirt/sweat shirt) please be prepared to get them dirty.
Sturdy shoes
