Technical Theatre Session 2
Unfortunately, I am unable to make the session today so please complete the following tasks by the end of today. You will be assessed on your findings in the next session. For those of you who haven't yet completed the task from last week ( follow this link) or need a refresher please make sure you do as it will help with the tasks below.
Task 1
Click here to complete an on line tutorial about using theatre lanterns.
Task 2
You have been requested to light a production for a small scale theatre company.
The Director has requested that you provide a general cover of white as well as a general blue light for the whole show with a couple of special spot lights (one DSL and one USR).
The stage area is 6 metres by 12 metres and there are four bars (3 over the stage area and 1 front of house). There are 30 lights available which are listed below.
22 Fresnel
4 par cans
4 profiles
A. Please draw (on A4 paper in pencil and using a ruler) a 'birds eye view' plan of how you would position these lights to meet the director's request. Please label each lantern with 'w' for white and 'b' for blue. Profiles should be a rectangle. Parcans should be 'U' shaped and Fresnels a square.
B.Hand in your completed plan (to Damien) at the end of your session today.
Thanks
Nathan
